Hey all,
As you probably know, our small town of Portland, ME has become a growing home to many places that serves an eclectic amount of delicious foods. Whether you're a vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, or a hardcore carnivore, there's something for everyone in good ol' Port-city.
If you're in the mood for a fabulous steak, then you can order a ribeye from The Grill Room on Exchange St. Or if you're looking for a great pad thai, then there's always the Vientiane Market off of Brighton Ave. Or perhaps, you're seeking something that will fulfill that vegetarian side of you, in which case a helping serving of tofu nachos from Mesa Verde on Congress St. should do you right! No doubt - Portland has it all!!!
With this blog, Port City Eats, I want to share the orgasmic culinary experiences you can have at all of the restaurants Portland has to offer. Here, no matter what you're looking for, I will tell you what's good, what's not, where's a good place for date, or where's a good place to just chill and lounge with your peeps.
Now, you're probably wondering right now, what makes this schmuck think he knows what is good or not. I can tell you that I have a pretty deep passion for food... heck some would call it an obsession. This probably still isn't enough to convince you that I know squat about good food vs. bad food, which actually isn't the point of this whole thing. There's all these people out there who proclaim themselves 'food critics' thinking they know what we think tastes good vs. what is bad.
No... instead, I just want to showcase the uber amounts of delectable morsels and yummy goodness Portland has to offer... and maybe help you to consider trying something or somewhere new. If not, then I think you should keep reading this anyway... because if you like food as much as I do, then there might be something you like about this little adventure I'm going to take you on!
